A few weeks ago YR 5 wrote a letter to the Prime Minister informing him of their opinion of an issue in the news. Some people chose to write about Child Abuse, The Firefighter's Strike, Hotel Theft and more. A lot of people wrote about the war, as it is quite an important issue. 

Recently ago we found out that we had received a letter from the Prime Minister; actually it was from his assistant. It said that he had received our letter and had thought strongly about our opinions. Mr. Blair would have liked to reply himself, but of course he was too busy.
