Our very own Mr Oakden performed in yet again another pantomime. This year it was Hansel and Gretel. He was a nasty character who got loads of boos.

The pantomime took place in Leek at a school called Westwood Primary School. The Pantomime was so funny that people nearly fell of their seats because they were giggling so much. We went to see it and thought that it was absolutely brilliant!!!

It involved the audience at some times. At the end there was a sing song and some of the audience were asked to come up onto the stage and sing along to the music man. They also had to do the actions. Guess who was chosen? Mr Selby, yes that’s right Mr Selby the head master, it had all the things that a pantomime needs to have: funny characters, nice innocent characters and songs all the way through. Not forgetting Lord V (the baddy) and his sidekick Wormtail.

We asked Mr Oakden some questions about the pantomime. This is what he said:

Q. Did you make any mistakes?
A. Yes but only little ones.

Q. Were you happy with the way you played your character?
A. Yes

Q. Were you tired at the end of each performance?
A. Yes, I was more tired on Sunday after all of it was over.

Everyone thought that it was really good.
