30,000 trainers have been found floating in the Pacific Ocean!

Thousands of trainers are floating on the Pacific Ocean after falling from a ship during a storm in California.

The 30,000 Nike basketball shoes are slowly making their way up north to Alaska.

Unfortunately these shoes were not tied together and so finding the pairs is going to be an impossible job!

So instead, if people on the beach find any soggy trainers washed up, they can just send them to a recycling firm.

Lots of different things have been found floating in the sea before like:

 ·       29,000 ducks, turtles and other bathroom toys

 ·       3 million pieces of Lego

·       34,000 hockey gloves

 ·       50,000 Nike cross-trainers that went overboard in 1999
