Should children be allowed to go on holiday in school time?

Normally if you go on holiday in school time it’s ok, you just catch up on your work when you get back.

But now, the rules are being changed. Your parents can be fined if you go on holiday in term time now without permission.

Children are only allowed to be off school 10 days a year and that’s with permission from the school. But too many children are starting to miss even more days and that’s the problem.

The main reason why parents take their children off school to go on holiday in term time is because the holidays are cheaper then, but the schools don’t think that’s a good enough excuse.
