There was growing concern about trick or treating was it safe? Leaflets had been given out to school advising children not to do it.

There were several reasons given such as…  My dad said “if you were out on your own you’re chances are that more people go missing on Halloween than any other night of the year.” Therefore, think for next year and beware.

Jonathon Jones, a year 5 student, had said "if you go to a house you don’t know, there might be a old person living there. Sometimes they get scared to death!"
Another year 5 student, Robbie masters had said "it’s a pointless time of year and it should be stopped!!!!!!!"

Halloween may not be  worthwhile after all there were signs everywhere saying sorry no trick or treating here. Mr Selby said “the problem is some children of  don’t take any notice of the leaflets hopefully next year they will take more notice!
